5 Rules for Creating Great Presentations
My brother Nick and I are working on a presentation called Catholic 2.0: Using Technology to stay Connected with Christ. The presentation will be about incorporating new media into your faith life. We plan on presenting it at for the Catholic Young Adults in Tulsa this March. (I’ll post the presentation when it’s done)
While working on this presentation I’ve run across an amazing book called Slideology. It’s written by Nancy Duarte, the woman who owns Duarte Design, the firm that created the presentation for Al Gore’s Oscar-winning film, An Inconvenient Truth, this book is full of practical approaches to visual story development that can be applied by anyone. The book combines conceptual thinking and inspirational design, with insightful case studies from the world’s leading brands.
On their company blog they had a really cool video. I’m going to try to incorporate the 5 rules from the video in our presentation… Enjoy.
